Megan was born and raised in Cork, Ireland and came to London in 2014 to make headway with her music career. In such a small amount of time she has managed to curate over 11,400 YouTube subscribers and received over 1.5 million views across her YouTube channel. In 2013, Megan finished 3rd place on MTV Unplugged and won a competition to open up for Nina Nesbitt in London’s Islington Assembly Hall.

Since the release of debut EP ‘We Always Find A Way’ (2016), Megan has been praised by the likes of Nina Nesbitt, Kodaline, and Hozier. For her sophomore project the self-taught singer/songwriter teamed up with songwriter-producer Darren Martyn from DM Unsigned (Union J, Luke Friend) and took a more pop approach to create her second EP ‘Bored Games’ (2018). The lead single from the EP (’Snakes & Ladders’), was picked up and premiered by BBC INTRODUCING. Later on, Megan went on to have another single from the EP ‘Jenga’ as BBC INTRODUCING’S ‘Track Of The Day’.

At the age of 23, Megan went back to her country roots and took on the challenge to write, compose, produce and mix an entire 12-track album by herself. The songstress has taken inspiration from writing styles similar to Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves and Alanis Morrisette.

“I wanted this album to be a diary entry of my early 20’s. Apparently, you should never forget them, so I took that advice on board. I wrote these songs as and when I felt that particular emotion and it was a lot of fun to reignite those feelings and emotions when I recorded them in my bedroom. It was a lot of laughing and crying to myself, but at the same time it was definitely a therapeutic experience to process all these emotions through my craft.”

Megan's debut album 'You Take Me Home' is now available to stream on all music platforms.
